3D images:
- CT - computed tomography scan
2D images:
- Panoramic programs (standard, bitewing, interproximal, orthogonal)
- Cephalostat (lateral imaging, anterior-posterior/posterior-anterior, submento-vertex, waters view)
- TMJ programs (double lateral, double post-anterior, 3 angles - lateral, etc.)
- Sinus programs (post-anterior, post-anterior linear, lateral)
Information for patients with a request for X-ray/CT
- We take X-rays on the basis of a duly completed application form issued by your attending physician.
- Imaging is performed standing or sitting. It is necessary to remove all metal things such as earrings, nose, lip and tongue piercings, as well as chains and hair clips. Tooth replacements can be another problem. Prostheses are usually made of metal parts, which can subsequently degrade the quality of the X-ray image. It is necessary to inform the radiology assistant of this fact in advance.
- X-ray examination is not performed during pregnancy.
- Before taking the X-ray images, we will inform you about the procedure, especially about the position you should take to take the image correctly.
- Please do not move during the actual scanning to minimize the need to repeat the X-ray.
- The actual exposure to X-rays is within milliseconds to seconds.
